The
Micro-AirŪRP dust collectors are
available with the Intelli-Touch Energy
Savings Control Panel. By operating at the exact
specifications your application requires,
there is no wasted horsepower, compressed
air, or energy. It also allows for the
maximum possible filter life. The
touch-screen controls feature online
monitoring and tracking of all pertinent
electrical and performance data related to
the dust collection system. With a Built-in
variable frequency drive and PLC, the system
airflow can be adjusted at the touch of the
screen or can be set to run at a constant
CFM, no matter what the system static
pressure. Built in monitors also notify the
need for filter change-out.

One-touch motor adjustment
This slider allows the user to adjust the motor
speed, when the motor is running in RPM Mode. By simply using your
finger to touch the slider (shown at 25% above) and moving it to the
left or right the motor will speed up or slow down. The slider is
labeled in % of full speed. So if it is set at 50, the motor will run at
50% of its full speed (in RPM). If it is set at 100% it will run at its
maximum rpm (generally 3450 rpm).
One-touch application set-up
From
this screen the user can select the application in use. These settings
change the values used to define the cleaning pulse On and Off times.
Typical applications are Standard, Plasma /
Laser, Welding and Light. The
pulse settings can also be run in Custom Mode and Progressive Mode that
allows the control to monitor the static pressure across the filters and
increase/decrease the Off-Time accordingly.
Various diagnostic displays
The diagnostics Screen is an information only screen and displays many
of the settings that are set on other sections of the control
Total run hours
simply accumulates
the time the Motor has been powered up. This may not be set at zero when
new, since the unit was test run at the factory.
Max Current Output
tracks the maximum
output by the frequency drive during operation and start-up. This value
should never exceed the Full Load Amps of the motor.
Power consumption
tracks the amount
of electrical power the unit has used since the last time it was reset.
This value can be used to track power consumption savings over a given
period of time. The value is given in Mega Watt Hours. Pressing the reset
will restart the counter at zero.

Here's a
typical example:
You select a
system such as the RP8-2
16 Cartridge
Operates at
20 horsepower
4,160 hours
per year
With the
Intelli-Touch Panel Control you could
save:
Over $2,423 per year on energy
Over $652.00 per year on filter replacement
That is almost $3,075.00 per year in savings!
